In our Canvas to Cloud methodology, AdvoWire started at the Productization stage. Our team spent time with the founder of AdvoWire to understand the objective of the application. We understood how the application would help its users and what impact would it create in the Social Media ecosystem.

Since we started working on the project, we have come across a number of complex problems including consolidating data consistently from multiple social networks within the rate limits imposed by the networks. The application has evolved significantly over last 4 years making it a one stop community for content creators and influencers.

As the requirements of the project change rapidly, we have tweaked the project management methodology accordingly. We have small and agile teams working in parallel on bug fixing and churning our new features. The release process is closely monitored but is largely governed by the client's requirements. The team successfully juggles between bugs identified by the QA Team, feedback changes from the client and new features.

It has been a remarkable 4 year journey building AdvoWire and it has helped us grow and mature as a company.

We got in touch with Paul at Brietenbush HotSprings in October, 2014. Their internal booking application BLISS had to be migrated Rails 4.0 and Ruby 2.3.1.

In our Canvas to Cloud methodology, BLISS started at the Complex Problem solving stage. Some of the challenges which were evident included understanding the functional flow of the application, code in older version of the Ruby and Rails.

The application used a Ruby Gem written by one of the previous programmer which handled threading and concurrency. With no documentation for the gem and its usage in the application, we had to adopt multiple problem solving strategies to address this problem. As this was the core of the entire application, it was essential that we had complete understanding of this gem.

It took us over 4 months of exhausting efforts to migrate the application to the most recent versions of Ruby and Rails. In addition to the migration, we also started adding unit tests to the application to ensure easier migrations in the future.

We are now a trusted technology partner for Brietenbush HotSprings.

Magnificent

MAGnificient - Web Development, Mobile Development, Quality Assurance and Testing

We were approached by the founding team of MAGnificent, a content marketing company, through a reference. MAGnificent had an idea which they believed would revolutionize the online publishing industry forever.

In our Canvas to Cloud methodology, MAGnificent started at the productization stage. The domain was new for us, what they wanted to achieve appeared feasible but we had to figure out how. It took us about 2 months to come up with the first proof of concept which the MAGnificent team was delighted to see. This was a unique engagement in the sense that the MAGnificent team were not technical but had in-depth understanding of the domain. We have a lot of technical knowledge but are not conversant with the domain.

The product was polished and refined over another 3 months. It was now in a state when the MAGnificent team decided to patent it. A patent was filed and is pending. The BETA version of the product would soon be released.

QATool

Maintenance and Support

Mobiquity - Web Development, Mobile Development, Quality Assurance and Testing

In our Canvas to Cloud methodology, QATool started at the Complex Problem solving stage. Xaton B.V. (now Mobiquity Inc.) based out of Amsterdam, owned this product through an acquisition. The product was used by one of the largest online marketing agency at The Netherlands and required a lot of bug fixing, maintenance and support. There was practically no documentation at functional or code level. There was bare minimum documentation describing the use of the product.

QATool is used for ranking websites in terms of usability, SEO, design and many such parameters. It has a complex set of algorithms, an equally complex software and hardware architecture over AWS. The problem we faced here was we were not sure where to start.

We came up with an idea to deploy the application and feed it the required data for processing. After processing a number of batches we were able to identify a pattern which helped us understand the algorithms and gauge if the result matches the expectations. The team recorded every meeting for analysing the product. After about 150 hours of video recording, we finally sorted out the application.

Mobiquity B.V., Amsterdam is maintaining the application and we still jump in when required. We work with Mobiquity Inc. on a number of projects now and we have been providing them services since over 3 years now.
